Remembering those forever young & never forgotten! With so many families touched by cancer, this is just a small offering in life to honor so many families. To those close to Phil and Rod this is a tribute to Danielle Tine, Bob Wiggs, Denise Anderson, and Ross Sawatzky.
This year we trek from MILDURA TO TOWNSVILLE via the Flinders Ranges, the Birdsville Track and the Gulf of Carpentaria on Friday 19th June to Saturday 27th June 2026, We think we have what it takes to drive a $1,500 Shitbox from Mildura to Townsville, raising funds for cancer research, whilst having the wildest adventure of our life.
Who doesn't enjoy heading to the warmth in the middle of winter? Well, for the 2026 Winter rally we are doing just that. But......... that's not all. Wrapped up in this 7 day epic adventure are the Flinders Ranges, the Birdsville Track and the Gulf of Carpentaria all before reaching the finish line in Townsville.
We depart Mildura and the mighty Murray River on our trek north. We hit the dirt on day one and watch the terrain change dramatically each day.
I really love these rally routes, but this one is a little different again. This rally breaks all previous percentages for the amount of unsealed roads taken at a very healthy 70% unsealed! Fun times ahead."
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 16th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the Winter 2026 rally target set at $2,000,000 plus. Our Target is $25,000.
These funds go to Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity. The fundraising is the hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
