Two Brothers, One Shitbox, and a Whole Lot of Chaos for a Good Cause!
Once upon a time (well… 2026 to be exact), two brothers from two different states decided that the only logical way to spend a week together was crammed into a $1,500-or-less car, held together by zip ties, duct tape, and pure optimism.
Meet Daniel and Anthony—brothers by blood, rivals in banter, and now partners in questionable road trip decisions. They’re joining forces to take on the Shitbox Rally 2026 - Winter Edition, a 7-day adventure from Mildura to Townsville—up the legendary Birdsville Track and across the Gulf of Carpentaria. That’s right—two states, one dodgy car, and thousands of kilometres of red dirt, dust clouds, and probably a few “are we there yet?” arguments.
Each team must raise a minimum of $5,000, and Daniel and Anthony are determined to smash that goal harder than their Shitbox will hit corrugations.
But this isn’t just about surviving the drive (or surviving each other). It’s about something far bigger: raising funds for Cancer Council Australia. Every cent raised goes directly into cancer research—helping families and individuals impacted by cancer by funding new treatments, support services, and ultimately giving hope where it’s needed most.
👉 Two brothers. One Shitbox. Seven days. The Birdsville Track. The Gulf of Carpentaria. Endless laughs.
And every dollar gets us closer to the finish line in the fight against cancer.
Space Junkies 2.0 are fundraising for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
